The creation process starts first with detailed sketches which are then carefully and intricately hand-engineered with gold, silver and semi-precious gems and pearls. This particular pair is made by "weaving" the tiny pearls and blue-purple iolite gems onto the bottom of the shape you see which creates a very delicate effect.  This pair of gold pearl dangle earrings with blue gems is designed with real blue-purple iolite and ivory pearls on hammered scroll-shapes and they are about 2-3/4" long.
