History of Eastern Jewelry

There is a story of not only the construction and design of Eastern jewelry, but there is also a memorable energy of how it ever emerged and influenced the rest of the world.  In Egypt, Jordan, and areas of the Sudan, the jewelry trade is a mysterious and secretive sojourn in a quest for relics of the past.  Merchants of the rural areas, villages, and outlands meander throughout the deserts in search of something of value, never revealing the origin of the goods once they find it.  Refugees in war-torn Eastern countries in need of money or goods often use their personal jeweled treasures as a unit of barter  In Jerusalem, one can find rare treasures from the past and valued heirlooms at the colorful dessert city bazaars.  Each piece comes with a past, a history and a story.  We wanted our Eastern earrings to carry the marrow of these stories, as they were designed to inspire the feel of history.
