The creation process starts first with detailed sketches which are then carefully and intricately hand-engineered with gold, silver and semi-precious gems and pearls. Customizable swirl and gem earrings like these are initially hammered into gold or silver drop-shapes and then the gemstones or pearls are added. This particular pair is made by bending the metal into the swirly shapes you see then twisting on the gems, creating a very delicate effect resembling filigree.
These customizable swirl and gem earrings are about 2-1/4″ long. Available in either 14K gold-filled, rose gold-filled, or sterling silver. This piece is entirely handmade in a studio in New York City.
