Our Necklaces are all One-of-a-Kind Necklaces, meaning each is unique and completely original making it a collectible piece of wearable art. Our Necklaces are handmade by artists and are made from different media, but most of our collection currently is made of polymer clay. The following describes our different necklaces.
TRANSLUCENT POLYMER CLAY NECKLACES
Our translucent polymer clay necklaces have handmade beads sculpted from translucent Polymer Clay. Polymer clay is a phenomenal artist medium made of a moldable plastic and it has been embraced and beloved by artists worldwide. The reason why it is so popular is that it is so versatile and can be manipulated so freely and with so many techniques that the results are fabulous. Our necklace artist, Kimberly Franklin, uses many different types of Polymer Clay but primarily, “Pardo Professional Translucent Clay”. Many times the clay is over-baked clay made of Pardo, and other times, our necklaces are made with air-dry clays such as “Lumina,” which has amazing strength and holds texture, colors, and delicate sculpting superbly! When each bead or sculpted form is made, it either cures in an oven or in plain air. But once cured, the clay beads/sculptures are extremely hard, strong and durable., yet they are lightweight which makes them perfect for jewelry.
Our artist prefers Pardo Translucent Clay because of it’s luminous and highly translucent qualities that she finds superior to any other brand. In addition, Pardo is extremely strong, which makes for durable and solid necklaces that will last.
When purchasing our necklaces, it is important to read each description carefully, as each product may have slightly different characteristics than even a similar one. All necklaces have different lengths, findings, colors, and textures. If you have any questions, please call us for more information so that we may assist you. We allow 14-days exchange with any unworn necklaces or bangles, but it’s always nicer to get the right one the first time, so let us help you if you are unsure.
