MADE WITH PARDO POLYMER CLAY BEADS

These beads are made out of polymer clay, and in this case, the brand of clay is called, “Pardo Translucent Polymer Clay”.  Many polymer clay artists favor this particular clay brand for its unique and extraordinarily translucent properties that allow it to transmit light after baking, giving its sculptures tremendous depth and luminosity!  In addition, Pardo Translucent Polymer Clay can be rolled extremely thin allowing for very contemporary bead sculptures, yet it cures at an astounding strength.  A significant amount of these necklaces simulate glass and, at times, sea-glass, which is sublime with its light-catching qualities.  The advantage of making these beads out of Pardo clay is that they are often hollow making them significantly lighter on the neck than glass, and also safer because they do not risk breaking.  This occurs because we cure our Pardo sculpture at times incomparably longer than the manufacturer specifies, which makes it significantly stronger than glass and will not chip or break under circumstances where glass would shatter and possibly leave shards dangerous to wear.
